Mission Tint - Privacy Policy

Mission Tint

Privacy Policy

Mission Tint ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, contact us, or engage with our services.

01 Information We Collect

A. Personal information

When you contact us, request a quote, or schedule a service, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Vehicle details, including make, model, year, body style, and vehicle identification number
  • Service preferences or inquiries
  • Appointment history and the work performed on your vehicle
  • Payment information, which is processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.

B. Automatically collected information

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device information
  • Pages you visit and time spent on each page
  • Referring website or search term

This data helps us improve our website performance and marketing effectiveness.

C. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to understand user behavior, measure ad performance, and improve your browsing experience. These are described in detail in section 07. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

02 How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide quotes
  • Schedule and manage appointments, and keep you updated on your vehicle
  • Perform the services you have requested, and keep a record of the work
  • Take payment
  • Improve our website, services, and customer experience
  • Send promotional materials, offers, or service updates, if you opt in
  • Support warranty claims, which may require us to share service records with the manufacturer
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and to establish or defend legal claims

03 How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information for money. We share it only in the following cases:

Who we share information with, and why
Who What they do for us
GoHighLevel Our website, booking, quoting, and customer relationship system. Your contact details, vehicle details, and message history are stored here.
CallRail Call tracking and, where enabled, call recording. See section 05.
Google Analytics and advertising measurement.
Meta Advertising measurement for Facebook and Instagram.
CARFAX Vehicle history reporting. See section 04.
Film manufacturers Warranty registration and warranty claims.
Payment processors Taking and settling payment.

We may also disclose information:

  • When required by law, or to protect our rights and property
  • In connection with a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of assets

All third-party partners are required to handle your information in compliance with this Privacy Policy.

About "we do not sell your information"

We do not sell customer lists, and we never will. But we should be straight with you about one thing: the advertising and analytics cookies described in section 07 share online identifiers with Google and Meta so we can measure our ads. Some privacy laws define that kind of sharing as a "sale" even though no money changes hands. We would rather tell you that plainly than hide behind a technicality. You can switch it off, and section 07 and section 10 explain how.

04 Vehicle History Reporting

We report qualifying services to CARFAX so that the work performed on your vehicle is recorded in its vehicle history. This is generally to your benefit: documented protection work supports the value of the car at resale.

  • What is shared: the service performed, the date, and the vehicle identification number.
  • What is not shared: your name, address, phone number, or email.
  • If you do not want a service reported, tell us in writing before your appointment and we will not report it. It costs you nothing and we will not ask why.

05 Calls, Texts and Recordings

Calls

We use call tracking to understand which of our advertising brings customers to us. This records the number you called from, the number you dialed, the time, and the duration of the call.

Some calls to or from Mission Tint are recorded for quality and training purposes. Where a call is recorded, you will be told at the start of the call, before the recording begins. Florida law requires the consent of every party to a call before it can be recorded, and we take that seriously. If you do not want to be recorded, tell us and we will continue the call without recording, or you may end the call. You can also reach us by email or through the forms on our website instead.

Text messages

  • By giving us your phone number you consent to receive calls and text messages from Mission Tint about your quote, booking, vehicle status, and service, including messages sent by automated systems.
  • Consent to marketing messages is not a condition of purchase. You can book with us and never receive one.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts, or HELP for help. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about a booking you have made.
  • We keep message history as a record of what was agreed about your vehicle.

06 Photographs of Your Vehicle

We photograph and film vehicles in our shop, both to document their condition at intake and to show our work.

  • Intake photographs are a record of your vehicle's condition before we begin. They are kept as part of your service record and are not published.
  • Finished work may be published on our website and social channels. We do not publish license plates, VINs, or your personal information.
  • If you do not want your vehicle published, tell us in writing before service and we will honor it. No explanation needed.
  • Full terms are in section 16 of our Terms and Conditions.

07 Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them, and similar technologies such as pixels, for three purposes:

  • Necessary. Making the website, forms, and booking work. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
  • Analytics. Understanding which pages people read and where they lose interest, so we can improve the site. We use Google Analytics for this.
  • Advertising. Measuring whether our ads work, and showing our ads to people who have visited us. We use the Meta pixel and Google Ads for this.

Turning it off

  • You can disable or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Necessary cookies aside, nothing here is required to use our website or to book with us.
  • We honor the Global Privacy Control signal where your browser sends one.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on, and adjust ad personalization in your Google and Meta account settings.

08 Data Security

We implement reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no data transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09 How Long We Keep Information

We keep information only as long as we have a reason to:

Retention periods
What How long
Quote enquiries that never became a booking Up to 2 years
Service records, intake photographs, and invoices At least as long as any warranty on the work, and as required for tax and legal purposes
Call recordings, where made Up to 12 months
Marketing contact details Until you opt out
Website analytics As set by the provider

Some records we keep even after a deletion request, where the law requires it or where we need them to defend a legal claim. Intake photographs are the clearest example: they protect you as much as us.

10 Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access, update, or delete your personal information
  • Opt out of promotional emails or texts at any time
  • Ask us not to publish photographs of your vehicle
  • Ask us not to report a service to CARFAX
  • Ask that a call not be recorded
  • Disable cookies through your browser settings

We do not gatekeep this

Some privacy laws only give these rights to residents of particular states, and some only apply to companies far larger than us. We are not going to check where you live before honoring a reasonable request. Ask us, and we will do it.

To make a request, contact us using the details in section 14.

12 Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed toward children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13 Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
